Biopsychosocial Assessments

Our licensed clinical social workers and therapists do thorough assessments that look at the whole individual. What this means is that we look at each person’s biological history (medical issues, addiction history, medications used, illnesses, etc), psychological (psychiatric illness, strong stressors like bereavement, trauma, personality, etc), and sociological (school/work, living environment, family, cultural factors, relationships), so that we can gain knowledge of all parts of the person.

Clinical Case Management

Case Management at HCS provides individually-customized mental health care for people experiencing frequent setbacks or persistent challenges to their recovery. Having a case manager oversee their care can often prevent hospitalizations or inpatient stays. This type of service can be set up for long term or short term support. At HCS, our case managers are mobile and collaborate with all members of the clinical team to maintain the continuity of care and keep everyone accountable to their role with the client.

Mobile Psychotherapy

Therapy can be helpful in getting to the deep roots of our sadness, anger or pain. It can also help clients better understand why they are feeling stuck, struggle with addictive patterns of behavior and better understand why challenges might be coming up in intimate and personal relationships. While coaching services provides action steps to get through life one day at a time; therapy will help process where the pain and suffering comes from so that it is understood and examined. Without understanding our pain and suffering, our actions can only take us so far.

Life Skills Group

We are NOT an outpatient program and we offer a diverse selection of groups that can help supplement work that people are doing individually with a therapist or coach. At HCS our groups are focused in on life skills that support clients in a very practical way as they work through their challenges. The healing that comes from group therapy is different than the work that is done individually with a therapist/coach. Groups hold a different level of support and accountability for clients. You do not have to be working with anybody at HCS to participate as groups are open to the public and don’t have any requirements other than a commitment of one month.
